Become a 3c member

3C isn’t in the business of recruiting its Members. Normally a Chapter will host events, rides and attend other groups’ events in their area to meet new riders. Certain types of people are drawn to the Riding Club because of its passion for the sport, willingness to teach, amazing attitudes and epic bikes. Usually, those individuals that enjoy riding with the Club may take the next step to ask about joining.

 

Joining 3C is fairly easy. You must be at least 18 years old. A new rider may ride with the Club as a Family Member if you are at least 16 years old and related to a current Member. There is a 1 to 3 month Trust Phase where the new rider(s) will need to get to know each Member of the Chapter and ride with the Club as a group.  The Chapter may host “get togethers” and the new rider(s) may be invited. The analogy we use is, “if you can’t sit in a car with each Member on a 2-hour car ride and have a good experience, then they are more than likely not a good fit for the Club.” Within this Trust Phase, the Chapter will vote to allow the new rider(s) to host two (2) group rides as a 3C hosted ride. Once the Chapter sees how the new rider(s) conduct themselves during these rides, the Chapter will then vote on whether or not to patch them into the Club.

 

If you are the Significant Other of an active Member that shares our passion for riding and is comfortable with group rides you can also become a Member in a much more expedient manner as long as you’ve participated in Club events and/or rides.  You will be required to host two (2) group rides as a 3C hosted ride upon interest in becoming a full patched Member.
